It's been a while....

I haven’t been able to write much since I came back from the trip to Cabo. It was Pinot Fest, then I caught the bad cold that’s going around and then we had some family health emergencies to deal with. But things have settled down a bit.

Coming back from vacation

Coming back from vacation is hard enough; one is relaxed and then gets slammed with all sorts of calls to return, emails to read and respond to and just the regular day to day stuff. But coming back and finding out that one of the nicest, best people in the Valley had died was really hard.

The Live Oak Property

It never occurred to me as I sat in the little “gas station” office of North Country Real Estate from the fall of 2010 until the fall of 2016, as I watched the renovation of the Live Oak Building that one day I would own that building and the property it sits upon. On Friday afternoon, April 5th, 2019, that is what happened.

Jury Duty

February has flown past and here it is almost the end of the month and so many of my monthly tasks remain undone. February is personally busy because of my husband’s birthday and our “date anniversary” of the 13th; on top of that we were busy with a charity wine tasting in San Francisco (for the Mission YMCA) and the usual round of new listings, photography for said listings and showings on those and other listings. This has enabled me to both get back on my bicycle and to feel like I can once again really dig into my work in real estate. Over the past weeks I’ve had to hand off my showings to other agents in the brokerage…

A Funeral in Alturas

About a week ago my husband was notified that one of his uncle’s had been found dead at home of natural causes. He was 82, the oldest living sibling of my husband’s mother. He had lived in Alturas for about the past 30

Goodbye 2018, Hello 2019

Goodbye 2108. A lot happened last year and it will be of help moving into 2019. I did a big push in marketing, updated the company logo, created new business cards and signs and finished it up by updating our website (many thanks to Lemon Fresh Design here in Boonville).
